Our background

In 1997, CBC was formed from a management buyout of the Red Crown Marketing division from BP Amoco. The team brought more than 75 years of petroleum retail, distribution and corporate experience.

With such diverse backgrounds, we were able to apply the concept of power in numbers. By uniting a large group of independent operators, we formed a clear channel of communication with industry-leading suppliers. This gave suppliers direct access to the segmented independent market, and at the same time provided retailers with the chance to find unparalleled savings with their increased purchasing power.

Today, CBC has grown to become the nation’s largest marketing services company made up of more than 14,000 member locations within the petroleum, transportation and automotive industries. Our team has expanded to include industry experts in purchasing, marketing, operations and communications. We provide our clients, members and suppliers with the Power to Compete.
